LKG

LKG focuses on the overall development of the child as it prepares them for extempore. Making math, english, hindi and EVS easy for kids and making them learn it fun way. Preparing kids for formal schools by focusing on the overall personality development of children is the objective.

On our first visit to Youngmind, our children felt so welcomed and comfortable, they wanted to start attending that very day! We love the environment at Youngmind and are so pleased with the balance of Montessori practices accompanied by desirable activities like music, yoga, Spanish, dance, science and computer classes. It’s great to see our children enjoy learning in so many different ways. Thanks Youngmind!”

I’m happy with Youngmind and how well kept and maintained the school is. My favorite part is the learning the curriculum and how friendly the staff is and knowing I can go to them with any questions I may have. Overall my experience has been great.

LKG stands for the ‘lower kindergarten’ which usually refers to the first 2 years of schooling. The curriculum for this level is designed to lay the foundation for future learning. It creates a positive learning environment as well as links to the community around the school.

The ideal age of entry to LKG should be 4 years and STD I at 6 years. There is the mistaken impression amongst people that their child will “lose a year” if they are put in a class lower than what they are officially eligible for.

In general, each state has a separate minimum age requirement. For example, Karnataka requires 3.5 years of age, and Madhya Pradesh requires 4 years of age completion prior to LKG entrance. Children should be introduced to culture outside of their family.

The Fee Structure is standardized, with slight variations in some areas as per the facilities.

The specially designed colourful uniform is recommended. This tradition contributes a strong sense of community at the School with an added benefit of having a neat & well groomed child.

The efforts are made to keep it low to give them good care. The child and adult ratio normally is 10:1.
